Alta Mesa Gun Club is a non-profit family organization that promotes the shooting sports, primarily trap shooting. Annual membership fee is $45.00. Members are required to be a member of the National Rifle Association. Regular shoots are open to the public. Currently shoots are held on Monday, Thursday, and Friday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The club has a full kitchen, two trap fields, a 20 acre area for working dogs, and one lighted trap field. No hunting is allowed on the premises. Club members have full use of the facilities. The clubhouse is available to club members for private gatherings for a fee, on a reservation basis. Anyone
interested in becoming a member should either attend a monthly general
meeting, or come out and enjoy an evening of shooting at one of the
shoots. Club members and range officers are always on hand to offer help to new shooters.
General membership meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the clubhouse, located at 10100 Reigl Road in Wilton. For general club information and activities, contact President Jim Kunz at 916-208-5340 or Vice-President John Navest at 916-203-8272.
A hunter education program is offered for a nominal fee. Please visit www.millershuntered.info for program information. Instructor Myron Miller can be reached at 916-616-1561.

Marion Miller, one of the original AMGC Charter Members.
Marion, who recently turned 95, still comes out to visit on
shoot nights and attend gun club meetings. He is a charming
man and he delights us all with his hunting and fishing stories,
along with stories of Wilton past.
Many thanks to the generosity of the businesses and individuals who donated raffle prizes for our
